Note
Ethereum casino bonus balance: what is credited, what is wagered, and where gas sits
A bonus balance is a separate line in the account with its own conditions. The gas fee belongs to neither the bonus nor the deposit line, which is why it is easy to lose track of.
What is a bonus balance?
Extra balance credited against a deposit, held apart from your own money and tied to a wagering condition in the operator's terms. The cashier should show the two lines separately, and the terms say which one is used first.
Which amount does a bonus count?
The amount that arrives in the account, not the amount that left the wallet. The difference is the gas fee, which went to the network. A wallet debited by the amount plus the fee and an account credited by the amount are both correct at once.
Why gas stays outside the account
It was paid before the casino saw the deposit, and the casino neither received it nor can return it. It therefore belongs in your own record of what the session cost, next to the bonus, and not in the account's balance.
What to write down
The amount sent, the fee paid, the amount credited and the bonus attached. With those four, the cost of taking a bonus can be read at the end of a session, not guessed at.
A worked shape, without figures
Take a deposit that arrives in full. The wallet was debited that amount plus the fee. The account shows the amount as cash balance and the bonus as a second line. If the terms count wagering on the bonus alone, on the bonus plus the deposit, or on something else, the cost of clearing it differs a great deal, and the operator's terms say which.
The fee is a sunk cost either way, so the useful comparison is the fee against what the bonus could realistically add, not against the whole deposit.
Quick answers
| Is the gas fee added to my casino balance? | No. It is paid to the network from your wallet and never reaches the account. |
|---|---|
| Does a bonus make a small ETH deposit worth it? | That depends on the fee against the amount and on the conditions attached. Put the fee next to the bonus before deciding. |
